Century Peak unveils new cement product: Masonry Type S-LITE

One of the country’s leading cement suppliers, Century Peak Cement, has recently unveiled its newest addition to its product line, Masonry Type S-LITE, in a bid to meet the growing demand for high-quality, cost-effective solutions for masonry works.

Type-S masonry mortars are used for building structural masonry walls above or below grade.

“We added masonry cement to our product line to meet the growing demand for high-quality, cost-effective solutions for masonry works,” the publicly-listed company said in a statement.

“LITE has excellent quality that is designed for both above- and below-grade applications, including walls, columns, patios, retaining walls, foundations, and other structures that are partially or fully underground,” it added.

Further, the new product Masonry Type-S LITE is designed for masonry and finishing works, also ideal for plastering, brick/block laying, and filling cement.

LITE is currently distributed in Cebu, with plans to reach markets outside Cebu by 2025.

“The Masonry Type S-LITE is cost-effective and offers excellent value for money by combining good quality with competitive pricing,” it said.

In February last year, Century Peak earned a license to sell cement nationwide which comes just as the government's affordable housing program and road transport projects are expected to increase cement demand.
