Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna urged residents to settle their real property taxes before the 10 December 2024 deadline to avail of the 20 percent discount.
“This is the last chance to take advantage of the biggest discount offered,” Lacuna stressed, adding that the deadline will not be extended.
To assist residents with busy schedules, the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) under Jasmin Talegon will open its doors on Saturday, 7 December 2024, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will allow taxpayers to settle their dues and receive the 20 percent discount for tax year 2025.
“We understand that weekdays can be hectic for some residents, so we decided to offer this weekend service for their convenience,” Talegon said.
Residents have two options for payment — they can vsit the Taxpayer’s Lounge at the Manila City Hall or they can utilize the Go Manila App.
Discount schedule
Lacuna reminded taxpayers of the various discount tiers available which include a 20 percent discount until 10 December; 15 percent discount from 11 December to 29 December; and 10 percent discount from 1 to 31 January 2025.
Only accounts without outstanding delinquencies are eligible for these discounts.
Payments for updated accounts can be made online through the Go Manila app or their website.
Delinquent accounts require over-the-counter transactions at the E-BOSS center within Manila City Hall.
Lacuna advised residents to settle their real property tax obligations and take advantage of the available discounts.
