Filipina actress Maris Racal broke her silence amid cheating issues alleged by her co-star Anthony Jennings’ ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva.

In an exclusive video shared by ABS-CBN, Racal admitted her mistakes and said she is taking accountability following Villanueva’s exposé of her intimate conversations with Jennings while he was allegedly still in a relationship.

“Nagkamali ako and I wanna say sorry for everything that I have done,” she said.

The actress revealed that she confessed everything to her ex-boyfriend, Rico Blanco, before publicly announcing their breakup in July.

Racal acknowledged that her involvement with Jennings contributed to her split with Blanco, contradicting her previous claim that Jennings was “out of the picture.”

“I announced the breakup. The reason why I became so emotional is because I was holding back the truth,” she explained.

She also shared that Jennings told her he had also broken up with Villanueva, portraying himself as sweet and gentlemanly during their interactions, as they were both “supposedly” single.

“God knows I asked him, ‘Nagkabalikan ba kayo?’ He said no,” Racal recounted.

Upon seeing Villanueva’s screenshots, Racal said she felt “truly embarrassed” that such private exchanges were made public without her consent.

“To the public, I’m really sorry that you got to see that very intimate side of me… It was supposed to be private,” she said.

While taking full responsibility for her actions, Racal emphasized that she does not intend to play the victim. “I’m not here to play the victim. I take responsibility for what I did,” she added.

As of this writing, Jennings has yet to release a statement regarding the issue.

The two actors are set to star in Vice Ganda’s “And the Breadwinner Is…,” a Metro Manila Film Festival entry this year, as well as an upcoming action series “Incognito,” set for release in 2025.
