Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) is building San Sebastian Church within its 752-hectare Vermosa estate spanning Imus and Dasmariñas, Cavite — reflecting the company’s push to develop a holistic community.
The company said on Tuesday that the project, which broke ground on Monday, is scheduled for completion in 2026.
The church will feature a 500-person seating capacity and facilities for weddings, seminars, and community events, along with ample parking. While the project’s designer and builder are yet to be disclosed, the initiative underscores Ayala Land’s commitment to creating spaces that enrich lives.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to make a difference in the lives of our fellow Filipinos and provide a space for their spiritual well-being in the Cavite community,” May Rodriguez, ALI’s vice president and senior project development head of Estates Group, during the ceremony.
Timeless architecture
Meanwhile, Architect Carmelo Casas, who leads the design of the project, emphasized the timeless approach to its architecture.
“Rooted in the principles of aggiornamento, the design of the San Sebastian Church in Vermosa aspires to transcend trends, offering a sacred space that reflects God’s eternal presence,” Casas said. “Our process focuses on creating an atmosphere that invites worship and evokes an experience of heaven on earth.”
ALI is positioning Vermosa as a growth center in the south, featuring world-class facilities such as the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub, Ayala Malls Vermosa, and the De La Salle Santiago Zobel Vermosa Campus.
