At least 69 nursing graduates from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina (PLMAR) passed the recent Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination. Among them, Christian Eley Bismonte stood out, securing the fifth spot nationwide.

In a ceremony held Monday, Marikina City First District Representative Marjorie Ann “Maan” Teodoro honored the newly licensed nurses, presenting them with certificates of recognition and cash incentives of P5,000 each.

Bismonte received an additional P25,000 for his outstanding achievement.

“We are incredibly proud of our PLMAR graduates,” Teodoro said. “Their success is a testament to the quality of education we offer in Marikina. It’s inspiring to see our students excel not just locally but on a national scale.”

Meantime, Bismonte credited his success to the comprehensive nursing program at PLMAR.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to study for free at PLMAR,” Bismonte said. “The quality of education here is comparable to that of other universities. This achievement is a testament to the excellence of our alma mater.”

The topnotcher also expressed his gratitude to Marikina City Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro and the lawmaker for their continuous support to PLMAR and its students.
