The National Housing Authority (NHA) recently awarded Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) to 14 beneficiaries during its participation in the LAB FOR ALL Program at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Under the guidance of NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, NCR-South Sector OIC and concurrent CPD Manager Cromwell C. Teves led the Authority’s delegation to the caravan and oversaw the distribution of the TCTs to the beneficiaries.
Of the 14 beneficiaries, 11 were members of the Gamban-Cabrera Homeowners’ Association (HOA), Inc., two from Vergel Solid Interior HOA, and one from Fortune Bus.
The Authority also set up a booth to address inquiries regarding its diverse housing programs.
An initiative of First Lady Marie Louise Araneta-Marcos, the LAB FOR ALL Program provides primary healthcare assistance through free laboratory testing services, medical check-ups, dental services, and the distribution of free medicines, supporting the implementation of RA 11223, or the Universal Healthcare Act.
In a brief message, the First Lady highlighted the importance of fulfilling one of her husband’s (President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.) pledges to the Filipino people.
“Nandito po kami para tuparin ang pangako ng asawa ko. Sabi kasi ng asawa ko sa SONA n’ya, ‘we should bring government services closer to the people and not the other way around,’” pointing out, “Sama-sama tayong babangong muli para sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
Present at the LAB FOR ALL caravan were DOH Sec. Teodoro Herbosa, PAO Chief Persida Rueda-Acosta, Representative Tony G. Calixto, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, city councilors, and other local and national government officials.
Other agencies present at the event included the Department of Health (DOH), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Agriculture (DA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), PhilHealth, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Pag-IBIG Fund, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and partners from the private sector.
