The world could see a more livable environment with Philips UltraEfficient Light products by Signify, which assure businesses 50% energy savings, smarter ways to operate other devices, and even grow plants.
Signify, the world's leading lighting manufacturer with over 127 years of industry experience, has launched Philips UltraEfficient Light products designed to efficiently brighten streets or public areas, retail and hospital establishments, offices, and industrial facilities.
"Our UltraEfficient range is more than a lighting solution—it is an investment in sustainable growth. This launch is a testament to our commitment to creating brighter lives and a better world," Signify Philippines Commercial Leader Raghuraman Chandrasekhar said.
The new product line includes panel lights, floodlights, lamps, recessed luminaires, and light strips, which work for up to 100,000 hours and use LEDs (light-emitting diodes) to conserve energy. These enable businesses to distribute more funds from energy expenses to other investments.
But their unique feature, Chandrasekhar said, is the integration of sensors and other Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities, creating work-conducive, relaxing, and environmentally friendly spaces for industrial firms or recreational establishments.
IoT enables users to collect and share data from one device to another so they can adjust their devices based on their needs.
"We have an app where you can control the lighting. We're thinking about how we can gather data to change the air conditioner temperature depending on the light level," Chandrasekhar said.
Chandrasekhar said Signify stands out as it deploys all the necessary resources to help businesses mitigate climate change while also supporting plant growth.
"The only thing common to brands is the light. But IoT is an ecosystem that requires sensors, the right software, and the right talents to go to the site and install the lights," he said.
"IoT is unlocking opportunities beyond illumination, such as horticulture. We're able to grow indoor plants through our lighting with very specific formulas," Chandrasekhar continued.
The Philips UltraEfficient Light product line includes RoadFlair Pro UltraEfficient Street Lights, GreenSpace G6 UltraEfficient Downlights, GreenPerform Elite Highbay G2 UltraEfficient, and UltraEfficient LED Floodlights, Panels, Strips, and Battens.
