Several residents of Manila have sought refuge on the sidewalks of Recto Avenue, near the Recto LRT Station, following a fire that engulfed a residential area in Barangay 310, Sta. Cruz.
As of this writing, the fire has reached the fifth alarm.
Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Recto Avenue, from the Isetann Complex to Rizal Avenue, remain impassable due to firetrucks stationed at the scene.
