JMC or Jiangling Motors Corporation has established itself as a leading player in China's burgeoning pickup truck market, regarded as the second largest in the world, behind the United States. In spite of the tough competition, JMC still managed to achieve an impressive 23-percent market share.
Since assembling its first vehicle in 1968, JMC has grown to encompass every facet of the business from manufacturing, distribution, sales and service.
As a result, JMC's pickup truck models through the years have not only conquered market share as they have also redefined expectations, earning accolades for their performance, reliability and design.
"At the heart of JMC's pickup mastery is our commitment to innovation and the promise to offer the best value to our customers. As one of the leaders in the pickup truck segment, we aim to take the JMC brand to the next level, offering Filipinos a cutting-edge choice for quality and versatility," said JMC Philippines brand head Arlan Reyes.
Reyes shared that in 2001, JMC launched the Boarding (or Baodian in other markets), which is the brand's first pickup truck.
Thanks to the company's vaunted R&D, the pickup truck rivaled the quality of imported vehicles at the time, becoming a model of Chinese craftsmanship and quality.
Fuel-efficient and comfortable, the Boarding continues to receive upgrades and innovations, becoming a top-selling model in China for several years.

EVERY generation of the Boarding is a representation of the JMC brand's global vision to be the best road partner.
JMC introduced a new line of pickup trucks called the Vigus. The model's first generation was released as a response to a growing demand for pickup trucks that carry technological advancements.
