Singaporean fashion label unveils a modern twist to Lunar New Year fashion
During the Chinese Spring Festival, people often do away with old clothes and wear new ones for a fresh new year

The most auspicious time of the year is upon us and what better way to celebrate it by adding new pieces to your wardrobe.
One of the oldest traditions during the Chinese Spring Festival is donning new clothes. People often do away with the old and wear new ones as it is believed to bring luck for a fresh new year. Red is the common color one could find.
"The reason the Lunar New Year is so vividly red is that the color is associated with good fortune, prosperity and luck in Chinese culture. During times of celebration, like weddings and public holidays, red can be found pretty much everywhere throughout China. The Lunar New Year is perhaps the pinnacle of this color in public," explained Zhaojin Zeng, assistant professor of history at Duke Kunshan University in China's Jiangsu province.
