PRO-1 reaffirms PBBM backing

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO, La Union — The Police Regional Office 1 on Sunday has reiterated its full support to the priority programs of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and its commitment to upholding democracy in the country.
In a manifesto signed by PRO-1 regional director B/Gen. Lou Evangelista the regional police force has expressed its strong adherence to the Constitution and pledged its commitment in protecting the sovereignty and democracy of the Republic of the Philippines.
"The Philippine National Police — Regional Office 1 stands firm in its commitment and dedication to safeguarding the sovereignty of our beloved country. We wholeheartedly pledge unwavering support to the mandate the Filipino people bestowed to our President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., recognizing his responsibility to govern," said the PRO-1's manifesto.
"As guardians of the peace, we affirm our allegiance to the Constitution, which serves as the bedrock of our democratic society. Our solemn duty is to protect it at all costs, ensuring that the principles it enshrines are preserved for the benefit of every Filipino," it added.
The PRO-1 also stressed that it denounces any attempts to sow discord and destabilize the administration.
"Recognizing that a stable and thriving society is built on the foundation of strong democratic governance, we are committed to thwarting any divisive factors that may seek to undermine our collective strength," the PRO-1 said.
Evangelista, meantime, also appealed to the public for its continued support to law enforcement efforts and initiatives of PRO-1.
"We call upon our fellow countrymen to join hands in preserving the peace and security of our beloved Philippines. Through unity and collaboration, we can contribute to building a peaceful and prosperous nation that reflects the aspirations of every Filipino," Evangelista said.
