What happens when a man marries a doll?

When Cristian Montenegro, 27, of Bogota, Colombia grew tired of being single after his girlfriend dumped him, he took Natalia, a rag doll, as his new love interest. Montenegro shared his experience on social media and the unusual couple attracted thousands of followers.

In August, Montenegro posted that Natalia had given birth to their third child, which was also a rag doll. This was followed by the news that he and Natalia got married. The posted prenuptial photos of the two in suit and wedding dress went viral, garnering 162,000 views, according to the Mirror.

Online kibitzers had divided opinions on the man-doll couple with some expressing support for the bizarre relationship while others commented that he is suffering from a psychological disorder.

Medical experts explained that Montenegro has a unique form of sexual preference called objectophilia, where a person feels both sexually and emotionally attracted to an object, News 18 reported.

Montenegro's case is not so unique though.

Brazilian Meirivone Rocha Moraes, 37, claims in her TikTok account that she married Marcelo, a rag doll made by her mother after she complained that she was still single. Moraes invited 250 guests to their wedding, the video of which went viral on TikTok.

On 21 May 2022, Moraes reportedly gave birth to their son, Marcelinho, also a rag doll. This month, Moraes is due to give birth to their second child.

On 19 November, she held a gender reveal party attended by 40 relatives and friends. A TikTok video of the occasion showed Moraes holding up a sparkler spewing pink smoke as she screamed and jumped for joy, New York Post reported.

"Marcelo is very, very happy because he wanted a girl. He already has Marcelinho, who is our boy, so now a girl has made him very satisfied," NYP quoted the eccentric mom as saying while her hubby stood silently beside her.

Moraes plans to name her inanimate daughter Marcela.
