Marian Rivera was conspicuously absent at the birthday party-cum-media conference of beauty guru Rei Anichoche-Tan. No, she wasn't invited. Why would she be invited when she chose to jump ship and move to a new beauty company, right?
Anyway, Anichoche-Tan is not about to sulk in onr corner and despair over her lost friendship with Rivera. After all, she did her part of the friendship. Being her la favorita among her endorsers, Rivera enjoyed a lot of perks like being dressed in a Gucci dress worth P200,000 and receiving luxury bags, among them, Hermes.
As someone so close to Anicoche-Tan, Rivera got to whisper who she should get as endorsers and who she has to avoid getting. More often than not, the businesswoman approves her suggestions.
Marian was paid a whopping P5 million per endorsement of Anicoche-Tan's products for a good seven years. That's P35 million in seven years.
It is presumed that Rivera got her new endorsement twice the price that Anicoche-Tan was offering.

Piolo Pascual never thought that there will come a time that his locally-produced film will be distributed by Warner Bros.
"Puwede pala, possible pala. So, I'm really ecstatic to be given the chance to showcase Philippine cinema with Warner Bros. as a partner not just here but to be shown abroad. Malaking responsibility ang ike-carry mo and at the same time, it's not just an honor but a privilege to be part of something this big and to be tapped by Warner Bros. kasi siyempre brand 'yan eh. We're really honored to be in this partnership," the actor said during the media conference where Mentorque Productions announced that Mallari, an entry in the forthcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, will be distributed by a powerhouse company, Warner Bros.
Present during the official contract-signing and announcement were Mentorque Productions president John Bryan Diamante and Warner Bros. Philippines' distribution director, Rico Gonzales.
Also in the momentous event were film director Derick Cabrido, screenwriter Enrico Santos and the cast of Mallari which include Gloria Diaz, Elisse Joson, Janella Salvador and Ron Angeles.
Gladys Reyes thumbs up young co-stars in 'Unspoken Letters'
Working for the first time with Jhassy Busran, the lead star of Unspoken Letters, along with newcomers MJ Manuel and John Hendrick, is a welcome experience for Gladys Reyes.
"Nakakatuwa naman na 'yung pakikitungo nila, 'yung respeto, hindi nawawala. Mga ano ito, digital babies, pero 'yung disiplina nila sa sarili makikita mo kapag nasa set. Hindi mo sila makikitang nakasubsob sa telepono or magpe-Facebook muna bago mag-take. Hindi, alam nila 'yung gingawa nila (It's great that their way towards other people, their respect, it's not lost. These are digital babies, but the discipline you will see while they're on the set. You will not see them slumped over their cell phones or they will do Facebook before a take. No, they know that they're doing)," Reyes said.
"Nagiging barkada ko sila, actually. Siguro dahil sa height ko, ka-age ko sila. Nagiging kaibigan ko kaya nakakatuwa na in-touch pa rin kami (I became their peers, actually. Maybe because of my height, they feel they're my age. I became friends with them which was why it's great because we still keep in touch)," she added.
In the movie, Busran plays Felipa, a girl with a condition. This is her fourth full-length film since she forayed in showbiz in 2021. Busran has appeared in Genius Teens, Caught in the Act and Home I Found In You.
A young achiever, Busran has won accolades abroad as she won Best Performance by an Actress at the Manhattan Film Festival New York for the short film Pugon; Best Child Actress at the Gully International Film Festival 2021 in India; Best Child Actress at the Ashoka International Film Festival 2021; and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Movie at the World Class Excellence Japan Awards (WCEJA).
