Jean Margaret Goulbourn, who was the Rotary Club of Makati's guest speaker during the Club's weekly meeting Tuesday last week, was a favorite model of the late Fashion Czar of Asia, Pitoy Moreno, who dubbed her the ‘Czarina of RTW’ when she launched her chic, stylish JM Goulbourn brand of RTW wear at the SM Boutique Square in the mid-1970s. Currently, she is famed for the stunning, all-natural fiber apparel, including hand-woven silk barongs crafted by her atelier, Silk Cocoon. Jean Goulbourn is also noted as a leading advocate for mental health care and awareness in the country through the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation-NGF Mindstrong, which she founded in 2007 after the tragic passing of one of her two daughters from depression.
