The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar on Sunday touted a Bacoor City housing project as an ideal in-city government housing strategically located in the city center.

Acuzar commended Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla and the entire local government unit for allotting a lot in Barangay Zapote 1 for the project under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s "Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino" (4PH) program.

Dubbed "Strike Towers," the housing project aims to construct nine 15-story buildings composed of 1,890 condominium-type units complete with open spaces, parks, and other amenities.

Secretary Acuzar and Mayor Revilla led the groundbreaking of the Strike Towers last week signaling the start of the development of the project which has the support of the Pag-IBIG Fund.

So far, about 20 housing projects under the flagship Pambansang Pabahay are in various stages of development and construction throughout the country.

In Bacolod City, at least 288 condominium-type housing units are scheduled to be delivered next month.
