PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan — The city port here received the arrival of the MS Silver Whisper early Thursday morning, initiating the series of six cruise ship arrivals expected this November.
Operated by Silversea Cruises, the luxury liner anchored at the port after 7 a.m., transporting roughly 382 travelers and an approximately 300-member crew.
City Tourism Department chief Demetrio Alvior Jr. disclosed that the guests will tour key attractions in Puerto Princesa such as the underground river in Barangay Cabayugan. Following this, they will depart to their next port of call in Coron.
"This November won't just see the MS Silver Whisper; five more vessels are scheduled. And December will welcome the MV Norwegian Jewel and the MV Aida Bella. The influx will keep us on our toes, but it's a bustling pace we look forward to," Alvior said.
He added that the city anticipates heightened activity with upcoming ship arrivals slated for the dates 4, 8, 16, 18 and 28 November 2023.
