Three died when a Filipino fishing boat was rammed by an unidentified commercial vessel near Scarborough Shoal on Monday morning, 2 October, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) disclosed.
The PCG said the casualties were the boat's captain and two crew members who died after the main boat submerged due to the incident.
Using 8 service boats, the 11 survivors escaped and transported the remains of the victims to Barangay Cato in Infanta, Pangasinan.
