Operatives of the MPD –Sta Ana police station arrested a 28-year-old man in a buy-bust operation on Friday night in Sta. Ana, Manila. The suspect is included in the station's drug watchlist.
Police identified the suspect as James Verdijo, single, jobless, and a resident of Brgy. 903, Punta Sta. Ana, Manila. He was arrested along Dike side in Punta Sta. Ana, Manila at about 10:15 p.m.
Sta. Ana cops conducted a buy-bust operation with PDEA coordination. Seized from him were two pieces of small-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets each containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
The confiscated pieces of evidence have an estimated total weight of more or less three grams of shabu and have a standard drug price value of P20,400.00.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 (Sale and Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be slapped on the suspect at the Manila City Prosecutors Office.
