Mariah Carey made legions of Filipino fans feel very much seen when she tweeted that while she thought it was too early for "All I Want for Christmas is You", she was making an exception for her Filipino fans. I don't make the rules, she said in jest.

According to Spotify, this particular Christmas anthem by Carey has already spiked 75% more in streams compared to this time last year. Maybe, it's not just Filipinos deciding to crank up those carols early.
