Adamson parts ways with Yee

Adamson University formally parted ways with Jerry Yee following his decision to call the shots for new team Farm Fresh in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the school said they are letting Yee go so he can focus on coaching Farm Fresh, which will be composed of the core of National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 98 champion College of Saint Benilde.

"It is with great regret that we are releasing Coach Jerry Yee from his commitment with Adamson University effective today, 7 June 2023," the statement read.

"We understand his desire to return to the professional league and, though it pains us to see him go, he has our complete and sincere support in his new endeavor."

In his one year with Adamson, Yee was able to break the school's nine-year Final Four drought as it finished third with a 10-4 win-loss record behind the promising core of Trisha Tubu, Lucille Almonte, Kate Santiago and Lorene Toring.

It was the first time for the Lady Falcons to penetrate the semifinals since 2014 when the troika of Bang Pineda, Jema Galanza and Mylene Paat were still dominating.

Adamson stressed that it is thankful for Yee's contribution to the team in the previous UAAP season.

 "It was an inspiring journey of the Lady Falcons and without him, as their Head Coach, their podium finish would not have been possible," Adamson said.

"Once Again, thank you coach Jerry. We wish you all the best!"
