Gone too soon.

Kenneth Egano, the promising bantamweight boxer who collapsed after winning his eight-round fight passed away, his stable, Amoy Boxing, announced on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old fighter from General Santos City was rushed to the hospital when he collapsed before his name was announced as the winner in an undercard fight against Jason Facularin in the Blow-By-Blow boxing program at Imus Sports gymnasium in Cavite.

Egano had a record of 7-1 (3 KOs) including his victory in the final fight.

Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao earlier this week pledged to shoulder Egano's hospital expenses as the fighter went into comatose due to a brain hemorrhage.

The eight-division world champion's MP Promotions promoted the Blow-By-Blow program.
