Lloyd Jefferson Go is looking forward to dividing his time next year playing in the Asian Tour and the Philippine Golf Tour after an astonishing run in the Asian Development Tour.

The 27-year-old Seton Hall University product finished seventh in the ADT Order of Merit, earning him an automatic Asian Tour card.

"Super happy I was able to stay in the Top 10 after this week. This was what I was chasing since I started playing in June. It's nice to be able to fulfill my goal for this year," Go said.

"Excited to see what the future brings for me, next year on the Asian Tour."

Unknown to many, the Cebu ace contemplated retirement early this year.

In a report published by SunStar Cebu on Tuesday, Jovi Neri wrote that Go thought of giving up his career after a hitch in his United States visa renewal application left him temporarily without a passport.

Only after the problem was resolved when Go was able to resume his international campaign in an ADT event in Indonesia, the report said.

He finished third, touching off a remarkable run in which he made seven Top 10 finishes in 10 ADT events.

The SunStar report said Go also had four top 3s, played 21 of 35 rounds in the 60s, and finished under par in nine of 10 tournaments.

Go is currently ranked third among Filipinos at 1049 ahead of Angelo Que, Justin Quiban, and Miguel Tabuena.

Japan Tour regular Justin de los Santos is the highest-ranked Filipino at 432 followed by Juvic Pagunsan at 502.

Meanwhile, De los Santos, Enrico Gallardo, and amateurs Gab Manotoc and John Uy have signed up for the 2023 Asian Tour Qualifying School (Section C) from 4 to 7 January at the Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket, Thailand.

They are the only Filipinos vying for spots on the Asian Tour.
