Peso closes at $1 = P55.24

The Philippine peso on Tuesday, 20 December, gained against the US dollar after closing the trade at P55.24 from its P55.41 close on Monday.
It opened the day at P55.4, slightly stronger than the previous session's P55.5.
It traded between P55.45 and P55.23, resulting to an average of P55.333.
Volume increased to $940.55 million from day-ago's $627.25 million.
