The Philippine peso on Tuesday, 27 December, ended the day at P55.9, weaker than its P55.15 close against the US dollar the previous session.
The local currency's weakness against the greenback did not show earlier when it opened the trade at P55.15 from the previous trading day's opening at P55.25.
It traded between P55.93 and P55.15, resulting in an average of P55.393.
Volume reached $813.27 million, a decline from $1.02 billion in the previous session.
