The Philippine peso on Friday, 23 December, ended the day at P55.15, weaker than its P55.09 against the US dollar on Thursday.
The local currency opened the trade on Friday at P55.25.
It traded between P55.35 and P55.15, resulting in an average of P55.271.
Volume reached $1.02 billion, higher than the $774.1 million the previous session.
The greenback also slightly appreciated by 0.06 or 0.1 percent versus the local currency on Friday.
