The Philippine peso on Wednesday, 28 December, ended the day weaker at P56.2 against the US dollar.
Data from the Bankers Association of the Philippines showed that the local currency shed three centavos from the previous session at P56.9 to a dollar.
The peso opened Wednesday at P55.9 and traded between P56.3 and P55.89, bringing the average to P56.12.
The total volume of peso-dollar trading reached $882.85, higher from Tuesday's $813.27 million.
