ABS-CBN Film Restoration celebrates the legacy of esteemed actor and musical scorer Jaime Fabregas for his contributions to Philippine cinema in the latest edition of Sagip Pelikula Spotlight series.
The project streams his digitally-restored classics starting with the 2010 comedy film Here Comes the Bride.
Co-starring Angelica Panganiban, Eugene Domingo, Tuesday Vargas, and John Lapus, the story recounts a freak accident involving the
bride-to-be Stephanie (Panganiban) and four other individuals before her wedding. The situation gets complicated and wackier as their souls interchange. Wedding stylist Toffee (Lapus) is now the newly-wedded bride. Stephanie becomes her feisty godmother Precy (Domingo).
Fabregas received nominations for Here Comes the Bride from the Golden Screen Awards and FAMAS Awards in 2011.
Fabregas is most notable for his acting works in Ganito Kami Noon… Paano Kayo Ngayon?; Oro, Plata, Mata; Bad Bananas sa Puting Tabing; Ngayong Nandito Ka; Puso ng Pasko; Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa; Haplos, and most recently as General Delfin Borja in ABS-CBN's longest-running action series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.
He is also credited for the musical scores of Misteryo sa Tuwa, Isusumbong Kita sa Tatay Ko, Wansapanataym The Movie, Hiling, and Eskapo.
"Film is a work of art and all works of art should be archived and kept for future generations because they are made specifically for that. These films are not made for the 'now.' It is made for people to watch 20 to 25 years from now and learn from them," Fabregas said.
Viewers can watch the digitally-restored Here Comes the Bride featuring a pre-show interview with Fabregas via KTX. Tickets are available at
