Magnitude 6.7 earthquake hits Abra

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake was recorded in Tineg, Abra, at 10:59 p.m. on 25 October, reported the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.

Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected, but there is no tsunami threat.

Intensity 5 was recorded in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, and intensity 4 was detected in Baguio City.

On 27 July, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake jolted Abra, its epicenter in Tayum, causing major damages in Northern Luzon.
