A former seafarer was arrested by airport policemen as he was trying to escape by climbing into the ceiling of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City Sunday.
Airport police investigator Jhesus Ducusin on Monday identified the man who had to be pulled down from the ceiling as Agustin Diva, a resident of Pasay City who said he lost his job as a mariner.
Four bags containing items said to have been taken from the Fashion Rack boutique at NAIA 3 were retrieved from Ducusin, who had faced similar theft charges at the airport that did not prosper.
Ducusin was detained at the airport police headquarters and would be transferred to the Pasay City Jail after charges are filed against him.
