Bang for your buck: Dream bridal masterpieces
Fashion designer Roxy Dizon opened Roxoanne Bagano Couture, hoping to create memorable wedding gowns for brides that won’t break the bank. ‘I want to make beautiful and bespoke bridal gowns for them’ is her mantra. It was a big hit
Roxoanne Bagano Dizon — Roxy to family, friends and colleagues — invariably loves clothes. As a youngster, she would happily rummage through her mom's closets to dabble with the latter's oversized dresses and heels.
Suffice it to say, she would design clothes on the back of her test papers before she even realized it could be an actual profession.
Growing up, she enjoyed a bit more flexibility to explore her community. Whenever she would bump into a wedding entourage, she was always enamored by the bride — that's when the spark began.
Her parents initially urged Roxy to study medicine. However, they wavered and trusted her to pursue her passion in fashion design.

"That was my inspiration to do well and succeed," she admitted in an interview with Daily Tribune.
She graduated with a Fashion Design and Merchandising degree at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, where she is now an instructor. She is likewise taking up a Master's in International Business also at Benilde.
