Pinky Chang celebrated her 70th birthday in grand style with a delightful gathering themed “Floral Summer Attire,” reflecting her lifelong love of flowers, beauty and elegance.
Family and friends came together to honor a woman whose life has been marked by creativity, generosity and an unwavering passion for excellence.
A nursing graduate, Pinky initially pursued a career dedicated to caring for others. Not long after, however, her life took a wonderful turn when she met Winglip Chang, who would later become her husband and life partner. Around the same time, Pinky discovered her passion for the floral business and went on to establish a flower shop known for providing elegant arrangements for many of the city’s most prestigious weddings, parties, and social gatherings. Her keen eye for detail and love of beautiful blooms earned the trust of clients who wanted nothing but the best for their special occasions.
For this milestone celebration, Pinky took an active role in designing the venue. The space was transformed into a stunning floral display, many of the blooms having been gifted by a dear friend. Working from Pinky’s vision, florist Debbie Huang skillfully brought the concept to life, creating a setting that was both elegant and inviting.
Guiding the evening’s festivities was host Zandro Sy Guillo, who kept the program flowing smoothly while adding warmth and charm to the celebration.
The evening featured several heartfelt tributes from Pinky’s family. Winglip opened the program with a toast in honor of the birthday celebrant and later serenaded her with a selection of songs, adding a personal and touching touch to the festivities.
Their only son, Anthony, shared fond memories of growing up with his mother and spoke about her dedication to family. The couple’s grandchildren also took the stage, delighting guests with musical performances that further enhanced the joyful atmosphere of the evening.
The gathering was a fitting tribute to a woman whose kindness, grace and artistic spirit have left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. As the evening drew to a close, guests departed with cherished memories of a celebration that beautifully reflected the life, passions and enduring legacy of its beloved celebrant.
