A man was arrested in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental for allegedly chopping off the head of a woman and eating the brain early Thursday.
The headless body of the unidentified victim with its arms tied was found in Purok 2, Barangay Punta Santiago, according to Police Captain Maribeth Ramoga, chief of the Talisayan Municipal Police Station.
The body was in prone position and without upper clothing, reports said.

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Lloyd Bagtong, admitted to the killing and led police to his house in Barangay Casibole where the decapitated head was found, said Ramoga. The house is located about 3 kilometers away from where the headless body was found.
Reporters interviewed the suspect in the police station’s jail and he narrated what happened in Bisaya.
Bagtong said he saw the woman near the cemetery and hit her head with a metal object before cutting it with a “sanggot,” a grass cutting tool.
