The Malaysia-Philippines Business Forum is set to happen in Davao City on November 20, 2019 at the Marco Polo Davao Hotel.
Organized by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in partnership with Davao Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Malaysia-Philippines Business Forum aims to foster and enhance trade and investment between the two countries, particularly in Mindanao.
Representatives of 38 private Malaysian companies are flying in from Kuala Lumpur to attend the one-day event in Davao City.
Five industry sectors are being targeted; food and beverages, personal care, construction and building materials, ICT, and logistic services.
Throughout the day, business forums, cluster visits, and meetings will be held. Each program is designed to bridge Malaysian companies to potential Filipino business partners and buyers in the Philippines. They will also serve as an avenue for the Malaysian companies to better understand the Philippine market’s business dynamics.
“We are excited to have this inaugural event in Davao City and hopefully, more Malaysian companies can gain access into the Southern Philippines. The prospect for Malaysian businesses in this market remains promising, given the size of the market and growth of the economy,’” said the MATRADE Manila Trade Commissioner Siti Azlina.
