The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday sent some P2 million worth of relief goods to families in Socksargen hardest hit by last week’s series of earthquakes.
PNP officer-in-charge PLt. Gen. Archie Gamboa, PNP Directorate for Logistics Maj. Gen. Edwin Roque, and Police Regional Office 12 Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus trooped to the PNP Incident Command Post in Makilala, North Cotabato where part of the relief efforts is packed.
While there, Gamboa also did the rounds on damaged buildings including the Makilala municipal hall and the Makilala municipal police station.
Last Monday, Gamboa said the police force’s national headquarters would also be extending assistance to PNP personnel affected by the earthquakes, particularly those in Regions 10, 11, and 12.
“We will take care of our personnel. As a matter of fact, I required all the financial institutions to offer them zero interest loans for the repair of their houses and soft loans for other needs. The NHQ will be the one addressing that,” he said.
