New Malacanang appointees include Belmonte.
Former House Speaker and Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte is among seven people appointed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to various government posts, Malacañang disclosed on Wednesday.
According to Malacanang, Belmonte has been appointed by the President as special envoy to Japan for trade and market access.
Meanwhile, Jaime Cruz has been appointed special envoy to the People’s Republic of China for Trade and Investments under the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Pedro Miguel Santos was appointed Director III under the Presidential Communications and Operations Office.
The date of their appointments is 15 October 2019.
