Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Friday brought grocery packs, food and cash assistance to families that lost their homes in a fire in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City after distributing the same to fire victims in Sta. Ana, Manila
Go also told the homeless residents of Maunlad Street, Phase 4 and Mabuhay Street, Phase 3 that he will provide uniforms and school supplies for schoolchildren of families affected by the 10 October fire.
Go also encouraged those who return to their provinces to do so and he will pay for their fare.

Representatives of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) were present to extend additional assistance to the fire victims.
“’Yung DSWD, may dalang cash assistance. Ang NHA (National Housing Authority), idadaan lang sa proseso, may matatanggap din kayong cash assistance sa kanila. Magbibigay din po ang PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation), magbibigay rin po ang PCSO (Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office), PCUP (Philippine Commission on Urban Poor) at DoH (Department of Health). Ang DTI, may livelihood assistance,” Go said. “Lahat kayo, makakatanggap nito (assistance).”
The number of families affected by the fire incident is 41 and totaled to 191 individuals. They are temporarily sheltered at the covered court of Barangay CAA.
