Buhisan Dam is a major source of water in Cebu City.
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia has sought out experts and suppliers to solve the worsening water supply crisis in Metro Cebu.
The cities of Mandaue and Talisay and the municipalities of Cordova and Consolacion are among the hardest-hit, with some barangays (villages) reporting “no water at all.”
“We are exploring the possibilities of extracting water from Malubog dam in Toledo and Mananga dam in Talisay,” said Garcia.
As of December 2018, the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) distributes 190,000 cubic meters daily in Metro Cebu, according to spokesperson Charmaine Rodriquez-Kara, but the daily water demand is 240,000 cubic meters daily.
Housing is probably the biggest issue affecting people the world over.

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan also visited the water plant of Mactan Rock Industries Inc. and gave his “go signal” for the company to operate its two bulk water wells in Barangays Punta Engaño and Marigondon.
The two wells will be producing 5,000 cubic meters each daily for Mactan island and Cordova.
