Chief Justice Lucas P. Bersamin has appointed old hand Atty. Brian Keith F. Hosaka as the new Chief of the Supreme Court (SC) Public Information Office (PIO) with the rank of Assistant Court Administrator.
Bersamin himself made the announcement during Monday’s flag ceremony at the SC grounds on Padre Faura.
“I just would like to announce that I have designated a new head of the PIO, and he is Atty. Brian Hosaka. He will start today. Brian Hosaka is not a newcomer. He served in the Court before under (Ret.) Justice Josue Bellosillo. So let us all support him,” the Chief Justice said.
Bersamin stressed however that Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez will continue to be the Court Spokesman for a smoother transition. He will closely coordinate with Hosaka, who is expected to eventually replace Marquez as Court spokesman.
Marquez and Hosaka worked together before as law clerks in the Office of Justice Bellosillo.
