Rody fires PMA officer

President Duterte on Tuesday ordered the dismissal of a top-ranking officer of the Philippine Military Academy on charges of mismanagement of funds.
Ordered charged and court martialed was the comptroller of the premier military academy in the region, Hector Marana, who is accused of having misused the allowance of PMA cadets.
“Send him to hell,” the President said of the PMA officer who could be facing 6 to 12 years in prison.
President Duterte’s firing of yet another government official comes in the wake of the firing of the chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center, Brig. Gen. Edwin Leo Torrelavega and 21 others.
He made it clear that the armed forces officials involved in anomaly be prosecuted to the full extent of the military law.
According to President Duterte, he gave the AFP Medical Center, more known as the V. Luna Hospital, P50 million about a month ago and that the money was merely misappropriated.
