The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa Marshalls banked on Buboy Barnedo to stun the De La Salle Green Archers, 85-83, over the weekend in the 16th Fr. Martin Cup Division 2 basketball tournament.
Barnedo scored the winning basket in the last 4.6 seconds, sending the Marshalls to their third straight victory when action ended at the St. Placid gymnasium inside San Beda-Manila campus in Mendiola.
Christian Alijecera topscored with 23 points for the Marshalls, who moved into the solo lead of Group A in the seniors division.
Christian Manaytay fired a game-high 20 points for the Green Archers, who took their first loss in two games.
In other games, Marc Diputado unloaded 18 points for National University-A to demolish St. Joseph College-Bulacan, 99-77, and improve in Group A at 2-1.
In the junior division, JC Luciano made 15 points for Chiang Kai Shek College in their 100-61 swamping of San Beda-Mendiola A.
La Consolacion College-Manila eclipsed Mapua, 68-63, to post its second consecutive triumph in another senior encounter.
