A 39-year-old man was arrested in Cainta, Rizal and held yesterday at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) detention center after he was accused of “sextortion” by a former live-in partner.
Albert Escovilla, a resident of A Bonifacio Avenue, Barangay Sto. Domingo in Cainta was nabbed by Quezon City and Cainta policemen inside Mang Bert’s Food House, near his house.
The woman, 37, lodged a complaint at the QCPD that Escovilla threatened to post on social media their supposed sex video if she failed to give him P1,500.
She told the QCPD-Anti -Cybercrime Team under Chief Insp. June Paolo Abrazado that Escovilla claimed to have taken the sex video without her knowledge.
Escovilla also threatened to post the video if she did not consent to having sex with him again.
