A former policeman listed in President Duterte’ s “narco list” was arrested by the police in Bulacan yesterday.
Nabbed was SPO2 Ferdinand Cajipe, who has been absent without official leave (AWOL) from his assignment at the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) based in Camp Crame.
Cajipe was collared at 1 p.m. inside Waltermart in Barangay Poblacion, Guiguinto. He is wanted for robbery extortion and is the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 26.
Cajipe is classified a “High Value Target” in the President’s “narco list.”
Cajipe has P7.72 million in his bank account frozen by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLAC) due to his alleged connection with Peter Co, a convicted drug lord.
Cajipe was charged with robbery extortion by Myrna Germedia on January 18, 2002.
Germedia testified that Cajipe and three other police officers brought her to Western Police District Station 11, threatened her with planted shabu and took her money amounting to P100,000.
The accused was found guilty on March 19, 2007 before the Manila RTC Branch 26. Cajipe appealed before the Court of Appeals which affirmed the lower court’s decision.
