Marines bring free health services, aid to Badoc residents

Residents of Barangay 7B, Sta. Cruz Sur, in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, received free health services, food, and other assistance from personnel of the 8th Marine Rifle Battalion during a community outreach activity.
Conducted in partnership with the Badoc Municipal Health Office, the activity provided residents with free vitamins, blood pressure monitoring, haircuts, and meals through a feeding program.
Children also participated in interactive games and received toys and booklets as prizes. They were also given the opportunity to meet Sgt. Kabsat PN(M), the battalion's official mascot.
The outreach was organized with the participation of the barangay chairperson, members of the Sangguniang Barangay, and barangay health workers, who worked alongside the Marines to deliver services to the community.
The 8th Marine Rifle Battalion, under the 4th Marine Brigade, said the initiative forms part of its continuing efforts to strengthen its relationship with communities and bring basic services closer to residents.
The battalion, also known as the "Peacemaker" Battalion, said its mission extends beyond securing the country's Northwestern Frontier, emphasizing its commitment to community engagement and residents' welfare.
