Three companies under the DMCI Group received recognition for their corporate governance practices at the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards held on 23 October at the Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City.
DMCI Holdings Inc. received two Golden Arrows, while Semirara Mining and Power Corp. (SMPC) earned three. Concreat Holdings Philippines Inc. (CHP), the group’s cement manufacturing arm, also received two Golden Arrows, marking its sixth overall recognition for corporate governance excellence.
The latest awards build on the companies’ previous recognitions and reflect the group’s efforts to uphold transparency, accountability, ethical leadership and responsible business practices.
“Good corporate governance is fundamental to building trust, strengthening our businesses, and creating sustainable long-term value for our stakeholders,” said Herbert Consunji, executive vice president and chief finance officer of DMCI Holdings.
“These recognitions affirm our commitment to upholding high standards of integrity and accountability while continuously improving our governance practices in an evolving business environment,” he added.
The Golden Arrow Awards are conferred by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission, based on the ACGS assessment of publicly listed companies. The assessment benchmarks corporate governance practices against regional standards and international best practices.
Aligned with the revised G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, the ACGS framework places greater emphasis on sustainability, resilience and effective oversight.
The DMCI Group said the continued recognition reinforces its commitment to integrating good governance into business decisions, strengthening stakeholder confidence and supporting responsible long-term growth.
