BORACAY — VST-ECS Philippines urged businesses to make artificial intelligence (AI) central to their operations as the company gathered technology leaders and industry partners for its ninth CXO Tech Summit 2026, held from 20 to 23 October.
Carrying the theme “Rethinking IT: Powering the AI-driven Enterprise,” the summit brought together nearly 63 participating brands to explore AI’s growing role in business, government and other industries.
VST-ECS Philippines president and CEO Jimmy Go said the country has an opportunity to strengthen its position in the global AI economy through strategic investments, supportive policies and international partnerships.
“The Philippines stands at the intersection of global AI demand and local digital transformation,” Go said in a recorded message.

“With a visionary policy, strategic investment, and global partnership, we can ensure that our nation is not just adapting to change, but leading it,” he added.
Go emphasized that AI is evolving beyond experimental applications into a business tool supporting customer service, forecasting, document processing and software development.
He also highlighted its expanding applications in banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and education.
In financial services, AI can help process large volumes of transactions and detect fraudulent activity. Healthcare providers can use it to support diagnostics and clinical decisions, while manufacturers can improve production and supply chain efficiency.
Go called on Philippine enterprises to integrate AI into their long-term strategies instead of treating technology as a separate support function.
“Technology is no longer a department. It is no longer something handed to IT and checked on at the end of the quarter,” he said.
He encouraged businesses to capitalize on the country’s digitally active, English-proficient workforce as they prepare for an increasingly AI-driven economy.
“Stop managing the present, start architecting the future. Turn your technology roadmap into your core corporate strategy,” Go said.
