Three men were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Mapandan, Dasol and San Fabian, Pangasinan, resulting in the seizure of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves, police said.
In Mapandan, a 38-year-old married jobless man and resident of the town was arrested during a buy-bust operation that started at about 8:40 p.m. on October 7, 2026.
The operation was conducted by the Mapandan Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1.
Police recovered three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing about 0.15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P1,020. A genuine P500 bill used as marked money was also seized.
The suspect and the confiscated items were subjected to marking and inventory at the scene in the presence of the required witnesses and the suspect.
In Dasol, an 18-year-old construction worker and resident of the municipality was arrested in another buy-bust operation conducted by the Dasol Municipal Police Station and Dasol Maritime Law Enforcement Team in coordination with PDEA.
The operation started at about 7 p.m. on October 7 and resulted in the seizure of two sachets containing about 1.4 grams of suspected shabu valued at P9,520 and a zip-lock pouch containing about 0.4 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P48.
Police also recovered a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money, P1,000 in boodle money, a gray and black wallet, a Samsung cellular phone and a cigarette pipe.
Meanwhile, in San Fabian, a 46-year-old married driver and resident of the municipality was arrested in a buy-bust operation that started at about 12:30 a.m. on October 8.
Personnel of the San Fabian Municipal Police Station, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, and PDEA conducted the operation, which resulted in the recovery of two heat-sealed sachets containing about 0.8 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P5,440.
A genuine P100 bill used as buy-bust money, four P1,000 boodle bills and a gray Honda TMX 125 motorized tricycle were also seized.
Police said the marking and inventory of the evidence in all three operations were conducted on-site in the presence of the mandatory witnesses and the respective suspects, as required by law.
The suspects are expected to face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
