THE Bangsamoro Information Office receives its award during the 2026 Outstanding Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony-Mindanao.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) honored six institutional partners in Mindanao during the Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony (OBSAC) held in Davao City on 28 September 2026.
The recognition marked the culmination of the central bank’s 2026 stakeholder appreciation series, following ceremonies for North Luzon in July, the BSP Head Office and South Luzon in August, and the Visayas in September.
This year’s Mindanao awardees were recognized for their contributions to efficient cash circulation, digital payments and financial inclusion, the regional rollout of the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program, information campaigns advancing BSP advocacies, and transformative small-scale gold mining operations.
The six outstanding institutional partners are East West Banking Corp.-Cagayan de Oro; LandBank of the Philippines-Cash Operations Unit Davao; LandBank of the Philippines-Cotabato Branch; Regional Development Council-Caraga; Bangsamoro Information Office; and the Provincial Government of South Cotabato.
BSP Monetary Board Member Romeo L. Bernardo said Mindanao’s stakeholders contributed to the region’s economic growth and supported the central bank’s initiatives and advocacies.
“Last year, five out of Mindanao’s six regions grew faster than the average. You contributed to that growth. You have also contributed to BSP initiatives and advocacies, which we thank you for,” Bernardo said.
BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, meanwhile, highlighted the role of stakeholders in translating the central bank’s policies and programs into practical solutions for their communities.
“A good policy is only the beginning. Its real value is seen when it reaches people and makes a difference in their everyday lives. And today, we recognize you. You are the ones who bring this work closer to the people we serve,” Romulo-Puyat said.
The OBSAC, which began in 2004, recognizes the BSP’s outstanding partners for supporting its mandates of promoting price stability, financial stability, and a safe and efficient payments and settlements system.
