A 43-year-old carpenter was arrested after police seized 0.36 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte on September 22, 2026.

The operation was conducted at around 4:35 p.m. by personnel of the Pasuquin Municipal Police Station, as the lead unit, together with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office and other participating law enforcement units.

Police identified the suspect as a 43-year-old married carpenter and resident of Pasuquin. His name was withheld in the report.

Authorities said the operation resulted in the recovery of five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total weight of 0.36 grams and an estimated street drug price of P2,448.

Police also recovered the P1,000 buy-bust money, a brown woven coin purse, a black wallet containing identification cards, identification photos, a US one-dollar bill, a black Infinix cellular phone, a red lighter, a pack of Mighty Green cigarettes, and P1,164 in personal cash.

A red tricycle powered by a Honda TMX 125 engine was also confiscated during the operation.

The evidence was inventoried and marked at the scene in the presence of the suspect and required witnesses, in accordance with legal procedures.

The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to the appropriate police office for documentation and further disposition.
