DAVAO CITY — The Davao Snakehead Tri Team are expected to make a lot of heads turn when they represent the host city in the coming Damosa Land 5150 Triathlon and Sunrise Sprint events this Sunday at the Island Garden City of Samal.

Snakehead Tri Team will field 40 entries in the various age group competitions, making it a heavy favorite in the one-day event organized by Sunrise Events and Damosa Land.

“We will do our best to compete. We spent time and effort on this during our training,” said Snakehead Tri Team member Jeff Ryan Lozano during the Davao Sportswriters Association Forum on Thursday.

The Damosa Land 5150 Triathlon will feature a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-km bike and 10-km run on an out and back course starting at the Damosa Bridgeport while the Sunrise Sprint will cover half of the race route.

The event will also have the Coral Dash which starts at the main gate of Bridgeport, heads out along Samal Circumferential Road towards Costa Azalea, then turns around at 2.6 kms in front of the Costa Azalea main gate before making the run back to Bridgeport for the finish.
