XPENG has officially opened pre-sales for its flagship X9 seven-seater electric multi-purpose vehicle ahead of its official retail debut later this month.

Interested buyers can secure an allocation from the first delivery batch by placing a P25,000 reservation fee. Customers who take delivery will receive P10,000 in charging credits alongside an exclusive first-circle gift package.

The vehicle arrives on local shores with strong regional momentum, recording more than 55,000 deliveries across China and other Asia-Pacific markets.

Southeast Asia regional general manager Sam Chu noted that the company opened reservations early to meet strong buyer interest before regular retail operations begin.

“The interest and inquiries we have received ahead of the official launch reflect the growing anticipation for the X9,” Sam Chu, general manager of the Southeast Asia Region, XPENG, said.

“In response, we are opening pre-sales early to give interested customers the opportunity to reserve their X9 before we officially begin retail sales later this month.”

The X9 stands apart from typical boxy multi-purpose vehicles with sharp, angular styling inspired by futuristic spacecraft.

The body measures 5,316 mm long, 1,988 mm wide, and 1,785 mm tall, riding on an expansive 3,160 mm wheelbase.

The streamlined shape yields an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.236, which cuts air resistance and keeps the cabin quiet at highway speeds.

A single electric motor on the front axle generates 235 kW and 450 Nm of torque. This mechanical setup moves the seven-seater from zero to 100 km/h in 7.75 seconds.

Electrical energy comes from a 110 kWh battery that provides up to 615 kilometers of driving distance under global testing standards.

Built on an 800-volt high-voltage silicon carbide platform, the vehicle supports direct-current rapid charging rates up to 542 kW, refilling the battery from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 12 minutes.

Standard 11 kW alternating-current home charging completes an overnight charge from five to 100 percent in about 11 hours. The vehicle also provides 6 kW power-export capabilities to run electrical appliances during outdoor trips.

Active rear-wheel steering reduces the turning radius to 5.4 meters by turning the back wheels up to five degrees opposite the front wheels at low speeds.

Dual-chamber air suspension adjusts ride height from 100 to 190 mm, while road-scanning software prepares the chassis for rough asphalt before the tires hit bumps.

The interior uses a flat floor with a 180 mm middle aisle for easy movement. Second-row passengers get zero-gravity captain chairs that recline flat and feature 10-point massage functions, ventilation and heating.

The climate system distributes air through more than 6,000 tiny vents to eliminate direct wind drafts. A third-row split bench folds completely into the floor via electric motors, expanding luggage capacity from 721 liters to 2,554 liters.

Even with all seven seats upright, a deep floor compartment swallows seven suitcases.

Tech features run on a Snapdragon 8295 processor controlling a 17.3-inch front monitor, a 21-inch windshield projection display, and a 21.4-inch fold-down rear ceiling screen linked to a 27-speaker audio setup.

Official retail pricing, warranty terms, and final customer delivery schedules will be announced during the formal brand premiere later this month.
